It finally hit me at 4AM, MY Big Idea, my hidden talent, I complain a lot. I think I finally found my passion, I can BITCH with the best of em baby, oh yeah.
I’m MAD so…..Rick’s-Rantings is what this category is going to be about.
Yes I’m MAD because I’m tired of having to live this way, tired of hearing the DREAM, you know the one “Make $5000, 10,000, 100,000…whatever in however many days”, we hear it all the time. Then what do we do? We go out and buy it because it’s going to be THE key to finally solving all our problems and show us how to do it, how to make it all work out.
Well it’s NOT, it’s probably just another one of those things that you’ll pay for and it sits in a file somewhere on your computer and never gets read. Oh yeah you meant to get around to it right after you got home the other day, or the kids need something, or I have to go out and shovel snow again, or whatever the excuse of the day is. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that these systems and programs don’t work at all, it’s probably much more of a case of information overload and lack of focus on my part. I’ve gotten a lot a good info from many different gurus out there, but I’ve yet to be able to “put it all together” and focus on any one method or mentor.
OK so I’m MAD too because I let myself get this far with all this Internet marketing stuff that I still haven’t been able to weed through it enough to figure it out and make it pay.
I’m MAD because I’m 50 and damn it, I’m tired of this damn high blood pressure of mine. I have an artificial hip and an arthritic foot and I get winded these days just waliking up the stairs.
I’m MAD because my GF needs knee surgery and isn’t working and the damn goverment can’t get off their butts and start her on disability insurance and pay (Just a little note that I’m not mad at her about that, it’s not her fault).
I’m MAD because I hate shoveling snow and living here in the middle of bitter cold Wisconsin, but this is where my family is.
I’m MAD at myself for not using my knowledge of marketing and sales background here in this instant information age that we live in. I’m also MAD at myself here for not following through with so many different programs and business’ that I’ve been involved with.
OK so here are the shameless plug for the people that I’ve probably learned the most from. Obviosly, I have learned some of this stuff, but there is just sooo much to read (and I’m not a big reader as it is) that I’ll never make a dime if I don’t take action and start doing and not just reading about it.
I have active an membership with BecomeaBlogger.com (lots of great tips and instuctional videos there) and I have also been learning from my free membership with Nitromarketing (I’d upgrade but can’t afford it yet) and I’m a member of the team that Yanik Silver is “Mavericktizing”.And my favorite wild and crazy (in a good way) internet marketer is Tellman Knudson. I have just started with Eben Pagan’s Altitude program and I’m looking forward to learning from him because of all the great things I’ve heard other marketers say.
There a a few others that I believe in and who have been helpful in my online education.
